CELEBRATE Prince Harry marriage to Meghan Markle with a ‘right royal knees up’.
The people of Bolton are being invited to mark the forthcoming royal nuptials by throwing a party — and raise money for Bolton Hospice at the same time.
A spokesman for the hospice said: “Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle is set to be one of the biggest events of the year.
“To celebrate this special occasion, we are encouraging the people of Bolton to host their own ‘Right Royal Knees Up’ to help raise vital funds for Bolton Hospice.
“The big day is on Saturday 19th May but you can hold your own ‘Right Royal Knees Up’ on a day that suits you. You can help us to make a difference to the lives of our patients and their families by taking part in this fun appeal.”
Ideas include holding a British themed party such a garden party, afternoon tea or a barbecue; fancy dress day in which colleagues wear red, white and blue for the day or host a wear your wedding dress again party; hold a bake sale and decorate your ‘stall with’ bunting, or simply enjoy a good old fashioned catch-up round the television and watch the royal wedding on the day while enjoying cakes and a glass of fizz. And children can also get involved by their school holding a hold a fairytale prince and princess themed day. Those wishing to take part should register to receive a free fundraising pack including bunting, cake toppers, photo props and lots more, by visiting https://www.boltonhospice.org.uk/event/hospice-events/right-royal-knees-up, email communityfundraiser@boltonhospice.org or ring 01204 663065.
