TALENTED amateur photographers could find themselves in the frame.

The Bolton News Camera Club has launched a competition to celebrate the work of keen snappers.

It is open to all local amateur photographers, is based around the theme of Hidden Bolton.

We want your pictures of the less celebrated and well-known parts of our town that you feel deserve their moment in the spotlight.

This could be an interesting detail on a building, an historic place that you think has been forgotten or just somewhere that is special to you.

During this period, you can submit as many images from as many locations as you like, but please make sure you mark your entry Hidden Bolton, give us a brief description of what the image is of and what it was that made you choose it as an entry. We also need your name and an email address and phone number.

The top three images, selected by our chief photographer Gus Sivyer, will win prizes.

The top prize winner will receive £50 cash, a printed canvas of their image and a bottle of bubbly.

The two other best images will win a printed canvas and a bottle of bubbly.

Your submissions should be posted to the Bolton News Camera Club Facebook page at facebook.com/BNCameraClub or emailed to pictures@theboltonnews.co.uk

Good luck and happy snapping!

Closing date is Friday, April 6.
