WALKERS are being invited to enjoy the fresh air and countryside on a 14-mile walk.
East Lancashire Long Distance Walkers Association are inviting people to join them on Sunday.
John Bullen, from the group, said: “Walking is fast becoming one of the nation’s favourite pursuits be it strolling, trekking, power walking or Nordic ski walking.”
The circular route, entitled Malt, Hops and Ice Cream, starts at 9am from the Blundell Arms car park, in Chorley Old Road, Horwich , with a scheduled finish time of 4pm.
Mr Bullen added: “The title of the walk offers the hint that there will be the opportunity to celebrate with a pint at the end of the walk and take in ice cream refreshment en- route.”
Those interested are asked to call walk leader Norman Thomas on 01204 691206.
