A GALAXY of Bolton Wanderers stars will show local schoolchildren how to show racism the red card on Tuesday.

The club has teamed up with Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) and Balfour Beatty Education to host an antiracist educational event for pupils at the Reebok.

The young people will also be taking part in an educational workshop before a film screening and a question and answer session with the Wanderers stars and ex-footballers.

The Show Racism the Red Card film features some of the game’s greatest players — Thierry Henry, Samuel Eto’o, Lilian Thuram, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Didier Drogba. They all talk about their experiences of racism and offer advice on how to deal with it and combat it whenever it occurs. The SRtRC campaign stages around 40 education events with football clubs each season, using the high profile of professional footballers to talk to young people about racism, in sport and society.
