LYNSEY Christian has become the manager of two funeral homes runs by the Co-op.
The 33-year-old from Harwood is now in charge of The Co-operative Funeralcare homes in Crompton Way, Bolton and at Albert Road, Farnworth.
She joined Co-operative Funeralcare in 2005 as a casual funeral operative and was promoted to funeral director in 2010, completing her NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors) Diploma in 2012.
“I feel so proud of what I have achieved in my career so far with The Co-operative Funeralcare and I am now looking forward to developing into my new role,” she said.
The Co-operative Funeralcare in Farnworth held an open day last month for the local community to find out more about the work of a funeral director.
A Land Rover hearse was on display and a local bagpiper played outside to illustrate how funerals can be tailored to form a unique tribute.
