AN Indian restaurant has come fourth in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition in parliament.

Spice Valley in Horwich achieved the accolade after being selected as one of 13 contenders for the award announced in the House of Commons.

The competition is held each year to find the best south Asian restaurant in the country.

The Tiffin Cup winner is chosen from a list of restaurants which have been nominated by local MPs.

Bolton West MP Julie Hilling put forward Spice Valley as one of the original 94 contenders before the finalists were chosen.

Spice Valley owner Subhesh Kotecha said: “I am delighted with the support we have had from Julie, so a big thank you to her.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to the people of Horwich and all our customers who have supported our business over the years.”
