BOSSES of a specialist Bolton travel company for people working on ships or off-shore platforms reckon they have designed online booking tool.

CTI Marine have launched CTI Mariner which gives professionals working on ships or oilrigs access to the best marine fares and hotel rates which are often not available online.

The firm, based at Evans Business Centre in Manchester Road, says it has created a unique marine knowledgebase using the skill and know-how of experienced marine travel experts.

“It delivers more savings than any other online travel solutions,” said CTI sales support manager Michelle Bailey.

“The knowledgebase determines if the online price is likely to be bettered by an offline approach, if so it passes the booking to a marine travel expert to look for additional savings before ticketing.

“CTI Mariner is tailor made to the client with 24 hour access worldwide seven days a week 365 days a year. It has access to CTI Marine’s specially negotiated marine fares, hotels, car hire and low cost carriers with availability.

“In addition, our unique traveller tracking via CTI Mariner offers the ability to monitor where staff are at all times with full reporting functionality – all with one click of the mouse.”

CTI – Corporate Travel International – claims to be one of the fastest growing travel management companies, after being founded only two years ago.

It has other offices in Leeds, London, Liverpool, Bristol, Hull and its headquarters in Wilmslow, Cheshire, although it is moving into Manchester next month.

There are 12 people working in the Bolton office and 170 across the whole company.

“It is a passionate focus that has made us one of the global leaders in maritime logistics,” said Ms Bailey. “Our approach is the same whether a client has a single vessel or a whole fleet.”
