HORWICH estate agency Redman Casey only celebrated its first birthday earlier this year but has already been shortlisted for two awards in a prestigious national industry competition.

The business is in the running for both Best New Agency and Best North West Agency in well-known estate agents’ magazine The Negotiator’s 2015 awards held in London in early November.

Co-owner David Redman said: “For such a small local agency to be recognised nationally by such an important body out of the hundreds of estate agencies around the country is really amazing.”

He and fellow estate agent Janet Casey started the business in Winter Hey Lane 16 months ago. In that time, it has officially become No.1 for selling homes in the BL6 postcode according to Rightmove, and has just notched up its 200th completion – the last 100 in the past four months.

Three new members of staff have joined Redman Casey, bringing the total to eight. Mrs Casey’s husband Sean, son Daniel Boss and Kirsty Perry are all experienced in the estate agency field. Mrs CAsey said: “This enables us to give a greater quality of service to our clients, which is something we are always aiming for.”

Redman Casey also carried out an independent survey among its clients between May 31 and September 22 this year which showed that 98 per cent of 67 vendors and buyers asked would recommend the agency to other people

“This is very satisfying for us because we rely so much on positive recommendation and we do try to help our clients as much as possible,” added Mrs Casey.

The business is also very involved in Horwich itself and recently co-sponsored the Horwich Rotary Beer Festival. Redman Casey is also actively supporting the newly-formed Horwich Business Alliance which promotes and supports the town.

Mrs Casey said: “Most of us here either live in Horwich or are in the process of moving into the area. We all know a lot about the town and its people and feel strongly about supporting Horwich.

“Now, we are just keeping our fingers crossed for the awards!”
