Incident on the M61
TWO men were arrested after Monday’s M61 chase ended with a Lancashire Constabulary car overturning near Rivington — and the pursued car being dumped in Westhoughton.
A 35-year-old was arrested on suspicion of two counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, dangerous driving and drink- and drug-driving.
GMP also arrested a 22-year-old on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
Both are from Ashton-under-Lyne in Tameside.
