A 22-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in the leg with a broken bottle in a night club.

The victim had tried to break up a fight inside the After Dark club, in Nelson Square, in the early hours of Saturday.

During the struggle he felt a "jab to his leg" and then left the club. He was then attacked again by the same men outside, before he reported the incident to police at about 3am.

Police have arrested three 19-year-old men, who have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The victim's injuries were not serious and he was treated at hospital and released. A police spokesman said: "The man was stabbed with a broken bottle.

"We have arrested three men, all aged 19, and they have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

"The man who was stabbed in the leg did not have any serious injuries and was not kept in hospital."
