TRAFFIC officers have warned motorists to be on the look out for a dark people carrier whose occupants have tried to pull over drivers.
Greater Manchester Police's Roads Policing Unit took to Twitter to report of two incidents, one in Wigan and one in Bolton.
The Bolton News is trying to establish where and when the local incident happened and the circumstances surrounding it.
The @GMPTraffic account said: "We have had two incidents in the last 48 hours involving a dark people carrier with blue lights in the sun visor.
"One in Wigan and one in Bolton.
"The people driving this are trying to stop vehicles.
"This is not a GMP vehicle and you should report all incidents via 999/101.
"Most of our vehicles are liveried. We have a few unmarked.
"This is a message about people in a dark people carrier.
"If you are not satisfied it's the police, drive to the nearest police station."
