SEVERAL vehicles were seized at the roadside as part of an ongoing clampdown on rogue drivers called Operation Considerate.
Traffic officers pulled over motorists and made database checks in Waters Meeting Road in Bolton on Tuesday.
They had a silver Mazda estate towed away because the driver had neither insurance or a licence.
A similar fate befell a white Ford Transit van stopped as checks proved it lacked road tax.
Another white Transit van was seized off Blackburn Road because there was no road tax or no MOT in place and it had two bald tyres.
They found a black BMW with Czech plates had not been registered with the DVLA despite its owner living in Britain for months.
One driver behind the wheel of a dropside van transporting scaffolding poles was caught without a seatbelt and using red diesel and his vehicle was seized.
Officers said during the operation they issued 22 Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) for people driving while using a mobile phone, 32 for not wearing a seat belt, one for bald tyre, one for no MOT and two for having foreign vehicles that were not registered with the DVLA in time.
They also dished out one TOR for no insurance and one for no licence.
