A MOTORIST has been charged over an alleged car chase that ended in a rooftop stand-off.
Jordan Leigh Sheridan, aged 22, of Grosvenor Street, Bolton, has been charged with unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence, driving with no insurance, theft, burglary and dangerous driving.
Sheridan has been remanded to custody and is due to appear at Salford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 6.
It relates to an incident in which officers were called shortly after 2.30am to Grosvenor Street following reports that a car had been taken without the permission of the owner.
The car was tailed by police before it was abandoned and a man scaled scaffolding on the outside of the The Breightmet Centre for Autism in Milnthorpe Road, Breightmet, before climbing down nearly two hours later.
