AN eight-year-old boy was attacked by a dog.
Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident which happened on Thursday at around 5.15pm.
The boy had been playing outside in Earlswood Walk, Great Lever when he was attacked.
His father, who did not wish to be named, said: "I heard my daughter scream, I went out and saw my son on the ground and a huge dog biting him."
The boy was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital by his father and then went onto Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
His dad said he had bite marks up and down his arm.
