COMEDIAN Smug Roberts is hoping to smash his target of raising £2,000 for Comic Relief.
Last month, he embarked on a challenge to complete 20 stand-up gigs in 24 hours at venues across Greater Manchester including Bolton Market, Odessa cafe and Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme (BYPHS).
His fundraising team is busy counting up the money given generously by people on the day of the gigs and he is hoping more donate on Red Nose Day.
He said: "We are nearly there for the target of £2,000.
"We raised quite a lot just with the buckets going around at the different gigs.
"It was really good."
During his visit to Bolton Market, he was joined by an impromptu singer named Lilian who performed while Smug attempted to play the piano and stall holder Alain Job showcased his dance moves.
Speaking of the gig at BYPHS, Breightmet Street, Smug said: "They were really good.
"That was one of my favourite ones."
