The annual festival features headliners The Proclaimers, The Wonderstuff and Idlewild. The gates at the club will open at 5pm this afternoon. First band on 5.10pm.
2. Travelling Strings, Astley Bridge Conservative Club, tonight from 7.30pm.
An opportunity to see Bolton's own Travellin' Strings, a unique acoustic guitar group playing songs that you'll all love to hear (and singalong to) from the 1950s onwards. All proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
3. The Evil Stepsisters, the Blue Boar, Deansgate, from 8pm.
The Bolton band returns to a venue close to home this weekend for the fourth time this year with support from Artful Roger.
4. Public Image Ltd (PiL), Manchester Academy, Saturday, September 19.
English post-punk band formed by ex-Sex Pistol John Lydon, with guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, take to the stage at Manchester Academy as part of a 23-date UK tour.
5. Bolton Bash sportive, Smithills School, Smithills Dean Road, Sunday from 9am.
Bikers are invited to saddle and take part in the 2015 Bolton Bash Sportive. The 35 and 60 mile cycle route will take cyclists around greater Manchester and Lancashire. It starts at Smithills School and promises to be a "reet grand day out" in Lancashire.
