An opportunity to see Bolton's own Travellin' Strings, a unique acoustic guitar group playing songs that you'll all love to hear (and singalong to) from the 1950s onwards. All proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

English post-punk band formed by ex-Sex Pistol John Lydon, with guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, take to the stage at Manchester Academy as part of a 23-date UK tour.

5. Bolton Bash sportive, Smithills School, Smithills Dean Road, Sunday from 9am.

Bikers are invited to saddle and take part in the 2015 Bolton Bash Sportive. The 35 and 60 mile cycle route will take cyclists around greater Manchester and Lancashire. It starts at Smithills School and promises to be a "reet grand day out" in Lancashire.
