IT is time to wave goodbye to 2015 and look forward to what the new year has to offer. 

Revellers in Bolton will be spoilt for choice this New Year’s Eve, with celebration parties happening across the town.

Some venues are also opening their doors for a New Year’s Day party, as it falls on a Friday this year – giving the hardcore among us a second bite at the party cherry as we enter 2016.

The Blind Tiger, in Bolton, will have live music from Leigh reggae act Jeramiah Ferrari (pictured below) and Bolton’s very own Elvis impersonator Tommy Holland.

Later in the evening, the party will continue into the early hours, with Suck DJs including John Leather and Daniel Broadhurst playing indie and guilty pleasure club music.

Marketing and events manager Dawn Price said: “At the Blind Tiger, we’re going to be rocking into the New Year with a mixture of live music and DJs.

“We are delighted to welcome back Jeramiah Ferrari, who are one of our favourite acts of 2015, followed by a fantastic Elvis tribute act, then Suck DJs taking us into the early hours. It’ll be a great night.”

The Venue, in Churchgate, will open its doors for its first New Year’s Eve for an all-inclusive party featuring live entertainment from local singer Carly Emma, as well as branded drinks and a buffet spread.

It will also open for a New Year’s Day party with a DJ playing music until midnight.

Owner John Wray said: “It’s our first New Year’s Eve party, so we’re pulling out all the stops to offer a really good night out.

“Tickets are selling well – recently we have seen more people through the door, which has been fantastic. It’s like we have been discovered all of a sudden.”

For clubbers after a late night event, Level – at the former site of J2 – will be opening its doors for a spaceage event.

Owner Sam Zegrour said: “Our night will have a futuristic theme.

“We’ve got a company coming in to transform the club with lasers and robots.

“This will be our first New Year’s Eve party and we’re offering an early bird ticket price of £5.

“Since opening, we have been busy and had some really positive feedback, especially about Level 3 and the new VIP area.”

At Downtown in Bradshawgate, Jeff King, formerly with Herman's Hermits,will be live on stage. Entry is free.

Elsewhere in the town centre, rock venue the Alma Inn is celebrating with an allnight party, which will feature a DJ taking requests throughout the evening into the early hours.

The Premier Suite at the Macron Stadium is welcoming families to step into the wardrobe and into the magical land of Narnia and let the whole family enjoy a night of fun in the countdown to the New Year. Tickets cost adults - £39, children (u13) £19 and children (u3) free.

The Holiday Inn is inviting people to see in 2016 in style.

Enjoy fine food with a five-course meal including a traditional midnight treat.

Tickets also include half a bottle of wine per person and disco till late.

For those who want to rock and roll all night, head to Moses Gate in Farnworth for a glam rock fancy dress ball.

The night, which has a ghoulish theme of dead celebrities or ‘70s gear, will feature live music from Glam 45. Tickets, £8.
