A CAR was set on fire in Farnworth in what is believed to be an arson attack.
Fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Anchor Lane at 5.26am on Saturday.
A Chevrolet hatchback was destroyed in the blaze, which was put out by firefighters, equipped with a hose reel and breathing apparatus, in about 20 minutes.
No-one was injured in the fire and no other vehicles or property were damaged.
Police are now investigating the incident. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
