A CASH POINT that failed to dispense money, but deducted it from customers’ accounts, has been fixed.

Customers were furious at the weekend when the machine in Market Street, Farnworth, debited their accounts, but did not deliver the cash.

Lloyds Bank, which owns the cashpoint, confirmed that it was aware of the issue and assured customers that their accounts would be re-credited as soon as possible.

For customers whose accounts are not with Lloyds have been told to contact their own bank if they have been affected. A spokesperson said: “An engineer has now visited the branch and the issue has been resolved.”
