A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car.
A grey Mini Cooper collided with the 14-year-old near The Britannia Inn in King Street, Farnworth, last night.
Police attended the scene at 8.43pm and closed the road before the ambulance service took the boy to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
But a spokesman from the police said his injuries were minor.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to to the incident near The Britannia Inn in King Street.
"We have taken a patient to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with a head injury.
"It does not look like a life threatening injury."
No arrest has been made.
