A HEALTHY cooking course returns to Bolton Market next month in an attempt to help residents improve cookery skills, learn more about healthy eating, get physically active and reduce spending on weekly food shopping.
The Bolton Market Wellbeing project is a free eight-week programme for all Bolton residents over 16, taking place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Joan Burrage, a Community Nutrition Worker at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust who helps run the course, encourages people to learn new skills and make positive changes in their life.
“When people who come to the Wellbeing project grow in confidence not just with cooking skills, but perhaps with tasting new foods and making small changes to enable them to lead a healthier lifestyle, I find it extremely rewarding,” she said.
