FUNDRAISERS at Bolton Hospital are celebrating reaching the £10,000 mark.
The breast unit is expanding to include a building across the road from the current unit.
The refurbishment is being paid for by the trust which runs the hospital but extras, like televisions, comfortable chairs and artwork are not included.
The unit is expanding to meet demand after patients increased when Salford Royal shut its breast unit two years ago.
Money has been raised through different events including a disco Boogie Night with raffles and auctions. This raised £3,674 which was matched by Barclays Bank.
