SUSPECTED shoplifters have been held by security guards and arrested by police in a series of incidents.
Two people were arrested at Bolton Gate Retail Park in Round Hill Way, off Turton Street in the town centre; one person was arrested at Middlebrook, off Mansell Way, and one in Bury Road, Breightmet.
All were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of trying to shoplift.
