A WORLD War One commemoration piece will be staged at a Bolton theatre tomorrow evening.
The War To End All Wars will be on at the Octagon Theatre’s studio at 7.30pm.
Aged just 18, Darren Poyzer was on the Royal Navy’s front line during the Falklands War in 1982.
Now, as he reaches his 50th year, he has written the piece scheduled to take place on the anniversary of the New York Twin Towers attacks of 2001.
Described as an up-close-and-personal alternative to pomp and ceremony, it charts his own story and, using a selection of self-penned songs landscaped by authentic video footage, pays respect to the centenary of the start of the war.
