DONATIONS made at a church Harvest Festival this year are to be sent to help charity work in Syria.
Organisers of the St James’, Edgworth service on October 12 have invited the congregation to put donations in envelopes to be sent to the Christian Aid for Syria appeal.
The gifts of food traditionally presented during the service will be sent to Bolton’s Winter Watch project.
