POLICE have caught a thief who stole Flash washing-up tablets from Asda in Astley Bridge after an appeal in The Bolton News.
James Buckley, aged 38, featured in the wanteds section of the paper on November 19 and was arrested on the same morning after an eagle-eyed reader spied him in Astley Bridge.
He had been suspected of carrying out a theft at the Moss Bank Way Asda on September 23 in which seven boxes of Flash tablets were taken from a display in the foyer.
The thief dropped one of the boxes in the car park as he made his escape.
