AN NHS clinic in Westhoughton has applied to improve its facilities and boost disabled access.
Town councillors recommended approval for the plan at a meeting on November 24.
Westhoughton Clinic, in Market Street, will alter access to its toilets and remove the need to go through a courtyard and up a staircase.
Cllr Christopher Peacock said: "I'm really pleased that the NHS is investing in Westhoughton and looking to make facilities more disabled compliant.
"It will make it that much easier for people with physical challenges to utilise local healthcare services, which has got to be a good thing."
