DAVID Cameron recorded a video message to the people of Bolton explaining why he believes they should vote Conservative at next month's general election.

Mr Cameron visited Bolton today as politicians ramp up their campaigns ahead of polling day — and Bolton is particularly important because of the key marginal seat of Bolton West.

Labour MP Julie Hilling won Bolton West by the narrowest of margins in 2010, with only 92 votes separating her from the Tories.

Now Mr Cameron is keen to overturn that victory, and wants people to vote for Conservative candidate Chris Green in May.

He said Mr Green has a "strong track record" and would be "a great member of parliament".

His key argument focusses on the Conservatives' long-term economic plan, which he claims is turning the country's fortunes around.

Mr Cameron said there are now 137,000 more people in work than when he became prime minister.

He also promised to cut tax for "hard working people" and increase the minimum wage.
