A KEY milestone has been reached in the creation of Bolton’s £48 million new transport interchange.
Work on the major project started back in 2014 has continued to develop — with a large new structure has now starting to take shape at the Trinity Street site.
The structure will form the main building for the interchange.
The interchange, which is being provided by Transport for Greater Manchester, is set to replace the existing Moor Lane Bus Station.
It will directly connect bus and rail services via a skyline pedestrian bridge with the aim of improving transport links for local people.
Passenger facilities will also improve with the new interchange playing host to a retail outlet and cafe.
Work will continue through to the end of 2016 when the interchange is set to open.
