4:57pm

Now that IS the final whistle. Awful, awful performance masked by a mad, mad scoreline. Credit to the subs for changing things a bit, but no solace taken by DF, I would imagine.

4:56pm

Even the linesman thought that was the final whistle... Ref gave a foul throw against Warnock.

4:51pm

Four mins added time!

4:49pm

I'm not writing my full time match report until well after the final whistle...

4:49pm

Take that back... this is pants down, barking mad. Petrov slams a shot in from the angle. Suddenly, a point is on...

4:48pm

GOAL Wanderers

4:46pm

This game is flipping mad.

4:46pm

Afobe strikes from close range after Petrov's corner

4:45pm

GOAL Wanderers

4:44pm

Zakuani heads home at the far post. This is dross.

4:43pm

GOAL Peterbro

4:42pm

Petrov on for Andrews

4:37pm

Bogdan pushes away Little's shot. Gayle should have scored from the follow up but Knight got back to clear.

4:37pm

Posh claiming a pen after Knight barged down Tomlin. Ricketts had got himself in a right mess moments before.

4:34pm

Should there have been a third penalty there? Shout of handball as Ricketts' shot was charged down.

4:32pm

Great save from Ojelnik after Eagles had teed up Andrews for his hat trick on the edge of the area.

4:32pm

Comedic defending from Wanderers. Rowe should have added a second after a mix up between Spearing and Mears.

4:30pm

Little finishes well at the far post after Newell had put a great cross in from the right. Looks like that is game over.

4:29pm

GOAL Peterbro

4:25pm

Gayle outwitted Ricketts and played ball in for Tomlin, whose shot was narrowly dragged wide of the post. Could have been four.

4:22pm

Afobe has really got them worried. Davies just played him in but a covering defender just got a nick on the ball before he could shoot.

4:20pm

Knight makes a good block, which lands on the roof of the net after Little's cross causes problems. Peterborough slicing through at will on the break.

4:17pm

Well that makes it interesting. Afobe has been bright since he came on. Battled to get to the byline and looked like he had lost the ball before Newell's trip.

4:16pm

Andrews scores!

4:16pm

Joe Newell tripped Afobe

4:15pm

PEN WANDERERS

4:14pm

Little cleared from in front of his own goal as Davies' cross stuck in the mud.

4:12pm

Chungy and Butterfield off.

4:10pm

Sordell and Afobe ready to come on!

4:09pm

Started the second half like they did the first. Wanderers couldn't clear their lines and George Thorne swept home low from the edge of the box.

4:08pm

GOAL Peterbro

4:07pm

Spearing slips Davies in, but Ojelnik does well to stifle his shot.

4:06pm

Second half underway.

4:05pm

Wanderers out on the pitch again now.

4:04pm

No changes at the break.

Can't blame the conditions Peterborough seem to be doing okay.Maybe Bolton are swimming against the tide, with their luck the tide will change direction in the second half.Pull your fingers out Bolton the dyke has already been breached, get your flippers on.Come on Bolton.

4:00pm

So how does DF change this?

3:54pm

Bogdan only one to come out of that 45 minutes with any credit. Had Peterborough been four or five-one up at the break, I don't think you could have argued.

3:52pm

How Wanderers are still in the game is beyond me, but they are. And at half time it's 2-1 to Posh.

3:50pm

Penalty looked a bit fortuitous to me. Looked like Zakuani was penalised for pulling down Ricketts. Lot of confusion because Eagles had actually volleyed into the net. Andrews blasted the ball low to Olejnik's left and has somehow got Wanderers back into it.

3:48pm

Andrews to take GOAL!

3:48pm

PENALTY TO WANDS

3:47pm

Should have been three. Boyd slipped a shot wide after some great work on the right. Waltzed past Warnock and Ricketts as if they weren't there.

3:39pm

Good save from Bogdan, pushed away a dipping free kick to his left. He has kept Wanderers in touch, just.

3:38pm

Andrews is booking number four...

3:35pm

Rain dances please...

3:34pm

3:30pm

Just the nine pages to write about this one on Monday. Trying to forget I have to do that right now...

3:27pm

Ricketts becomes the third man in the book.

3:27pm

Fans playing their part too. Trying to lift the team.

3:26pm

Spearing doing his best to get them going. He's seeing a lot more of the ball.

3:24pm

3:23pm

That's the skipper suspended for Boxing Day.

3:22pm

Kevin Davies booked for a foul on Bostwick.

3:21pm

Second best so far. Every area of the pitch.

3:20pm

Butterfield booked for diving.

3:20pm

No, but I'd be putting money on a much-changed team against Sheff Weds.

3:18pm

Chung-Yong just wasted a great chance there. He more than anyone has struggled with this pitch early doors.

3:15pm

Eagles gave away possession, Tomlin beat Spearing and Andrews before curling a shot against the base of the post. More woeful defending.

3:10pm

Boyd lifts one just over the top after Thorne had nicked the ball from Andrews. Posh looking like world beaters.

3:09pm

Pitch is awful, and seems to have taken Wanderers completely by surprise.

3:09pm

Butterfield hits a tame shot towards goal from 20 yards. First effort.

3:07pm

Goodness me. Dreadful. Ricketts should have cleared Rowe's cross and Gayle pounced on the chance, smashing the ball into Bogdan's net.

3:06pm

GOAL Peterbro

3:04pm

What a terrible start. Ball switched from right to left by Boyd (I think). Knight let ball dribble under his feet and Tomlin raced through, checked back inside and curled a shot past Bogdan.

3:03pm

GOAL Peterbro

3:02pm

Great move down the right from Eagles and Butterfield. Corner.

3:01pm

And we're off...

2:59pm

The woman is wearing tall stilletos. How she has managed to walk out on that soft pitch is beyond me!

2:58pm

Players are out on the pitch now, led out by a couple of people in top hats. I presume they are posh.

2:55pm

And with said gloves now on my hands, you may have to forgive the odd spelling error this afternoon. Well, more than usual...

2:51pm

It is cold here. Fingerless gloves cold.

2:48pm

Now they have got Depeche Mode playing at full blast. Wonder if it was a request from Mr O Coyle, of Lancashire??

2:47pm

Asked DF about potential arrivals on Thursday. He wants "a few" but as yet, there are no names I can put out.

2:46pm

Old school feel about this ground. Not sure about the press box - the desk is about three foot away from the chairs, which are fixed to the floor. Reckon they have long arms in Peterborough...

2:43pm

And for the second time this afternoon, the Wombles are blaring out from the tannoy. Sheesh.

2:40pm

Around 250 fans currently spread about the away end, which is all standing at London Road.

2:30pm

Blow for Ngog, obviously, after his two goals last week. He has had problems with him hamstrings this season, but no confirmation that it is the same issue.

2:26pm

Gives Sordell a chance, potentially. Would be great to see him get 25 minutes at the end.

2:25pm

No official news from club, but understand it's an injury to Ngog. Will get Dougie Freedman's view on it later.

2:20pm

Lots asking about Ngog. Can only imagine it is an injury (and same goes for Lonergan) but will confirm later on.

2:14pm

But no Ngog. Will double check on what is happening there.

2:13pm

Rob Lainton and Marvin Sordell make the bench!

2:13pm

So, no changes, for only the second time in Freedman's time at Wanderers (the previous one was Cariff/Leicester).

2:11pm

Peterborough: Olejnik, Zakuani, Bostwick, Tomlin, Boyd, Rowe, Newell, Little, Knight-Percival, Thorne, Gayle

Subs: Day, Alcock, Brisley, Swanson, McCann, Kearns, Ferdinand

2:10pm

Subs: Lainton, Ream, Alonso, Pratley, Petrov, Afobe, Sordell

2:05pm

BWFC Team (4-2-3-1) Bogdan, Mears, Knight, Ricketts, Warnock, Andrews, Spearing, Chung-Yong, Butterfield, Eagles, K Davies

Unchanged.

2:01pm

Hot dog and Bovril courtesy of Peterborough FC. Bless them.

1:59pm

Few Wanderers fans gettingin the festive spirit, dressed as Father Christmas.

1:57pm

Nothing yet. Zat Knight one of the only BWFC players to show his face on pitch at the moment.

1:49pm

Just watching a smattering of Wanderers players boot the ball in the air... let's just say the bounce isn't true.

1:41pm

And now we have music at London Road... But it's the Wombles...

1:38pm

Said earlier - I think he will get a couple of chances soon. Just a hunch.

1:34pm

Few people have asked about Warnock, and I answered most of their questions earlier. Wrote a story earlier in the week that explains Wanderers are confident of loaning him again in Jan. Not sure when, at the moment, that would kick in.

1:32pm

Club press officer has just said: "Ref took one look at the pitch and was very happy. No question that the game is ON."

1:31pm

Deffo. Think Kev has got another season in the PL, even if he plays a reduced role on the pitch. BWFC should be falling over themselves to give him something.

1:30pm

Good question. Don't have an answer but will ask my Dad.

1:29pm

You are OK mate - rain has slowed and there are only a couple of groundstaff out there with their forks now. Looks very promising but do yourself a favour - there's a great pub in the hull of a barge just round the corner. Would be in there myself if I could!

1:27pm

Have a feeling that Marvin isn't far off a start. Might look different soon.
Dougie has stopped the boat rocking and personally speaking, I am encouraged by the football we have been playing. But it's a big ask to turn the team into promotion contenders. Would love to be proved wrong.

1:25pm

No definitive answer on this. Warnock out of contract in summer, so depending on wages, I'd say there's a good chance.
Butterfield looks less likely. He still wants to make a go of things at Norwich, but you never know.

1:23pm

Nope, looks like it is on. Stewards are all in place now and I've had no word of a postponement.

1:22pm

Yes, it looks that way Neil. So stop worrying whether we will fill the Wanderer on Monday.

1:21pm

OK, a few questions have come in on my Twitter - so here goes...

1:15pm

The referee has been out on the pitch and done the bouncy ball thing. So far, so good. Although the paying public don't seem to be falling over themselves to get into London Road today.

1:14pm

Good afternoon... it's wet here.

I wish people would stop talking about promotion once and for all. It took Owen Coyle nearly three years to turn the Wanderers into a championship side with no character, and it's going to take Dougie Freedman a lot longer than a few months to put things right.
