MATCHDAY LIVE: Peterborough United 5 Wanderers 4
This live event has finished
Now that IS the final whistle. Awful, awful performance masked by a mad, mad scoreline. Credit to the subs for changing things a bit, but no solace taken by DF, I would imagine.
Even the linesman thought that was the final whistle... Ref gave a foul throw against Warnock.
Four mins added time!
I'm not writing my full time match report until well after the final whistle...
Take that back... this is pants down, barking mad. Petrov slams a shot in from the angle. Suddenly, a point is on...
This game is flipping mad.
Afobe strikes from close range after Petrov's corner
Zakuani heads home at the far post. This is dross.
Petrov on for Andrews
Bogdan pushes away Little's shot. Gayle should have scored from the follow up but Knight got back to clear.
Posh claiming a pen after Knight barged down Tomlin. Ricketts had got himself in a right mess moments before.
Should there have been a third penalty there? Shout of handball as Ricketts' shot was charged down.
Great save from Ojelnik after Eagles had teed up Andrews for his hat trick on the edge of the area.
Comedic defending from Wanderers. Rowe should have added a second after a mix up between Spearing and Mears.
Little finishes well at the far post after Newell had put a great cross in from the right. Looks like that is game over.
Gayle outwitted Ricketts and played ball in for Tomlin, whose shot was narrowly dragged wide of the post. Could have been four.
Afobe has really got them worried. Davies just played him in but a covering defender just got a nick on the ball before he could shoot.
Knight makes a good block, which lands on the roof of the net after Little's cross causes problems. Peterborough slicing through at will on the break.
Well that makes it interesting. Afobe has been bright since he came on. Battled to get to the byline and looked like he had lost the ball before Newell's trip.
Joe Newell tripped Afobe
Little cleared from in front of his own goal as Davies' cross stuck in the mud.
Chungy and Butterfield off.
Sordell and Afobe ready to come on!
Started the second half like they did the first. Wanderers couldn't clear their lines and George Thorne swept home low from the edge of the box.
Spearing slips Davies in, but Ojelnik does well to stifle his shot.
Second half underway.
Wanderers out on the pitch again now.
No changes at the break.

Can't blame the conditions Peterborough seem to be doing okay.Maybe Bolton are swimming against the tide, with their luck the tide will change direction in the second half.Pull your fingers out Bolton the dyke has already been breached, get your flippers on.Come on Bolton.
So how does DF change this?
Bogdan only one to come out of that 45 minutes with any credit. Had Peterborough been four or five-one up at the break, I don't think you could have argued.
How Wanderers are still in the game is beyond me, but they are. And at half time it's 2-1 to Posh.
Penalty looked a bit fortuitous to me. Looked like Zakuani was penalised for pulling down Ricketts. Lot of confusion because Eagles had actually volleyed into the net. Andrews blasted the ball low to Olejnik's left and has somehow got Wanderers back into it.
Andrews to take GOAL!
PENALTY TO WANDS
Should have been three. Boyd slipped a shot wide after some great work on the right. Waltzed past Warnock and Ricketts as if they weren't there.
Good save from Bogdan, pushed away a dipping free kick to his left. He has kept Wanderers in touch, just.
Andrews is booking number four...
Rain dances please...
@MarcIles let's hope it gets rained off.— @Sy_Taylor 22 December 2012
Just the nine pages to write about this one on Monday. Trying to forget I have to do that right now...
Ricketts becomes the third man in the book.
Fans playing their part too. Trying to lift the team.
Spearing doing his best to get them going. He's seeing a lot more of the ball.
@MarcIles 'Second best so far' Lets not kid ourselves we have been second best most of the season— @icedgraphics 22 December 2012
That's the skipper suspended for Boxing Day.
Kevin Davies booked for a foul on Bostwick.
Second best so far. Every area of the pitch.
Butterfield booked for diving.
@MarcIles gonna put a bet on jimmy next bolton manager by November. #dfisshite #justanothermegson— @bennettwaklad 22 December 2012
Chung-Yong just wasted a great chance there. He more than anyone has struggled with this pitch early doors.
Eagles gave away possession, Tomlin beat Spearing and Andrews before curling a shot against the base of the post. More woeful defending.
Boyd lifts one just over the top after Thorne had nicked the ball from Andrews. Posh looking like world beaters.
Pitch is awful, and seems to have taken Wanderers completely by surprise.
Butterfield hits a tame shot towards goal from 20 yards. First effort.
Goodness me. Dreadful. Ricketts should have cleared Rowe's cross and Gayle pounced on the chance, smashing the ball into Bogdan's net.
What a terrible start. Ball switched from right to left by Boyd (I think). Knight let ball dribble under his feet and Tomlin raced through, checked back inside and curled a shot past Bogdan.
Great move down the right from Eagles and Butterfield. Corner.
And we're off...
The woman is wearing tall stilletos. How she has managed to walk out on that soft pitch is beyond me!
Players are out on the pitch now, led out by a couple of people in top hats. I presume they are posh.
And with said gloves now on my hands, you may have to forgive the odd spelling error this afternoon. Well, more than usual...
It is cold here. Fingerless gloves cold.
Now they have got Depeche Mode playing at full blast. Wonder if it was a request from Mr O Coyle, of Lancashire??
@MarcIles Hey Marc with only 10 days to the transfer window opening. Realistically you reckon we could see any surprise transfers coming in?— @ExploreMSR 22 December 2012
Old school feel about this ground. Not sure about the press box - the desk is about three foot away from the chairs, which are fixed to the floor. Reckon they have long arms in Peterborough...
And for the second time this afternoon, the Wombles are blaring out from the tannoy. Sheesh.
Around 250 fans currently spread about the away end, which is all standing at London Road.
Blow for Ngog, obviously, after his two goals last week. He has had problems with him hamstrings this season, but no confirmation that it is the same issue.
Gives Sordell a chance, potentially. Would be great to see him get 25 minutes at the end.
No official news from club, but understand it's an injury to Ngog. Will get Dougie Freedman's view on it later.
Lots asking about Ngog. Can only imagine it is an injury (and same goes for Lonergan) but will confirm later on.
But no Ngog. Will double check on what is happening there.
Rob Lainton and Marvin Sordell make the bench!
So, no changes, for only the second time in Freedman's time at Wanderers (the previous one was Cariff/Leicester).

Few Wanderers fans gettingin the festive spirit, dressed as Father Christmas.
@MarcIles Any idea on a starting lineup yet?— @Chris_Samways 22 December 2012
Just watching a smattering of Wanderers players boot the ball in the air... let's just say the bounce isn't true.
And now we have music at London Road... But it's the Wombles...
@MarcIles come on where is @MarvinSordell ? Is he ever gonna get back in the team? £10 for leading goal scorer was a poor bet— @icedgraphics 22 December 2012
Few people have asked about Warnock, and I answered most of their questions earlier. Wrote a story earlier in the week that explains Wanderers are confident of loaning him again in Jan. Not sure when, at the moment, that would kick in.
Club press officer has just said: "Ref took one look at the pitch and was very happy. No question that the game is ON."
@MarcIles if we get promotion do you think SKD will play on or do you think retirement beckons? I'd personally see him play on, in part.— @WanderersIdiot 22 December 2012
@MarcIles whys your last name so freeeekin weird man— @Timrothers 22 December 2012
@MarcIles sat in a cafe with a few lads, spent £70 on train plus match ticket. What are the chances of the game being off?— @TomSenior1 22 December 2012
@MarcIles any idea about sordell and wylde's future at the club? And how do you feel freedman is doing as the manager?— @Derek_McA 22 December 2012
@MarcIles Will Butterfield and Warnock join permanently, I know Norwich want to keep JB— @CrompersCrompo 22 December 2012
@MarcIles Im on my way.. shall i turn back and go home? #wetwetwet— @bwfc_panners 22 December 2012
@MarcIles Is the game on?— @NeilBonnarBN 22 December 2012
OK, a few questions have come in on my Twitter - so here goes...
The referee has been out on the pitch and done the bouncy ball thing. So far, so good. Although the paying public don't seem to be falling over themselves to get into London Road today.
Good afternoon... it's wet here.
