ATHERTON Cricket Club are looking to recruit a player/coach for this season The Bolton Association’s league and cup double winners last season want a good standard bowler and all-rounder for the paid role.

The successful applicant must have at least the ECB level two coaching qualification or equivalent.

Atherton CC are an ECB Clubmark accredited club, boasting two senior teams and a flourishing junior section with five teams from under-9s to under u18s.

All sides play in the Bolton and District Cricket Association League, and as well as being current first team league and Cross Cup double winners they also won the second 11 cup holders.

The club has an ethos of developing facilities, infrastructure and players while also forging strong links with the local community, in particular with local schools. They currently have seven ECB qualified coaches working with its junior section.

The successful applicant will work alongside an overseas amateur in coaching the senior section by improving club training nights and pre-match preparation.

He will also assist with the transition of older junior players into the senior squads and work with the senior captains to develop the senior players.

The amount available is negotiable depending on qualifications, experience and commitment.
