WANDERERS will kick off the 2014/15 campaign with an away game against Watford on August 9.

The fixtures for next season, which were announced at 9am today, will see Dougie Freedman’s men meet Nottingham Forest at home seven days later at the newly-named Macron Stadium followed by Brighton away on August 23.

Wanderers will play six Lancashire derbies next season, the first coming against Wigan Athletic at home on November 8, while the festive period will see the Whites meet Blackburn on Boxing Day at home with Huddersfield away two days later.

And if Wanderers are battling for promotion at the end of the season, the town’s sporting spotlight will be on the home game with Birmingham on the final day of the regular season.

Reasonably tough start in August, while the team set-up takes shape then a reasonably easier finish to the season.

If we get the Juke or Mason, I can see top 8. If not, then 12-14th again.

Too much spending power at the clubs coming down and the few with larger assets and investments, BWFC will be lucky to finish top 10 any time soon. I hope I am eating my words at the end of the season. If DF does get enquiries about Mark Davies, then he should cash in and bring in Juke and Mason, BWFC have not missed Sparky in reality.

I really think DF now needs to focus his attention on getting one or two 20+ a season goal scorer's pref the duke or maison if nit them two then somebody of the same caliber other wise unless goals are added from other areas if the team on a regular basis then we will just stay as a mid table championship club but in really looking forward to the new season

20+ goals per season strikers? Are you going to give the Wanderers the £10m+ it will cost for one of these e.g. Ross McCormack?

Can only see mid table obscurity at best for the coming season but would have said that about Burnley after the opening game last season and look how wrong I got that....

why 10m??, look at Burnley as an example, Ings and Vokes cost £1m and 350k respectively and scored 42 goals without completing a full season. Juke and Mason could be the answer, but DF needs to sell Davis to fund it.

And probably CYL to get a good contract package together for them both so BWFC do not have the problem of a one year contract and a loss at the end of the season. Mason and Juke in my book are a sound investment for the future. I realize CYL would be sadly missed, but we need to move forward. Having said that CYE and the latter of M&J would be an awesome proposition if even for one year. A tough tough call awaits DF, I hope things can work out.... don't get me wrong I love CYL and would love to see him stay but if that meant at the cost of another season in the Championship because of wages then I would rather him leave for the sake of the club and fans.
