REPORTS in the US suggest former Wanderers skipper Zat Knight is speaking with MLS side Colorado Rapids.

Knight, pictured, has been searching for a club since leaving Bolton in the summer and had turned down an offer from League One Barnsley.

He had previously denied links with Philadelphia Union but is looking for at least another two years in the game before retirement.

This guy is seriously deluded "mulling over" offers from USA. Its either Colorado Rapids or Alton Towers working on the River Rapids.

People say that Dougie had a hard job cutting the wage bill, I don't agree. Look at the players he let go; Eagles, Mears, Knight, Petrov, Sordell, etc. How many have done anything, have they all even got clubs? Losing the deadwood was easy, the only tricky decisions he had was Sam Ricketts(last few games in a Bolton shirt were awful, decision made) and Kevin Davies(right choice but went about it in the worst way possible)

Loved that Alton towers river rapids that made me chuckle would have gone right over zats head though just like most of the balls did

Heard Petrov was on £50k a week. Was an easy decision. Still think SKD was right to go. Though DF used him as a lone striker not too long before deeming him "past it". Think he was too well thought of, dougies ego didn't like it one bit. Maybe even saw him taking his job.

If Bolton were serious about cutting the wage bill, they would get rid of Gartside, Freedman and his Palace buddies.
