THERE is only one way to start this week’s run report and that is with a HUGE congratulation’s to one our event director team Alistair and his better half Hannah.

They tied the knot on Friday to become the new Mr and Mrs McArthur. I’m sure all of you who have met them will agree they make an awesome couple.

After having only the two runners recording PB’s last week you guys really made up for it this Saturday morning as a massive 31 one of you recorded new personal bests in the ideal conditions on the day.

Well done Brian Longhurst, Andy Dunleavy, Beccy Weeks, David Jame Lilley, Claire Merritt, Colm O’Brien, Diane Leatherbarrow, Noah Barrington, Amy Rossington, Louise Fox, Louise Wall, Donna Walsh, David May, Paula Birmingham, Michael Taylor, Cheryl Pate, Antony Powers, Jamie Rollon, Tommy Greenhalgh, Stephen Horsman, Daniel Mortimer, Yvette Beamuont, Gillian McGowan, Stephanie Brierley, Cheryl Dunleavy, Joe Daniels, Laura Smith, Brian Frew Phillip Morris Rodney Owen.

This week there were 225 runners, of whom 26 were first timers and 30 recorded new Personal Bests.

There were 16 different athletics clubs took part.

Shay Walker (Bolton United Harriers), Mark Swannell (Bolton United Harriers) and Thomas Fletcher were the first three male finishers whilst the first three home for ladies were Penny Townsend (Horwich RMI Harriers), Lesley Fisher (Burnden Road Runners) and Katherine Baines (British Military Fitness).
