BOLTON'S own Charlie Albinson is set to feature for Manchester City in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup tonight, and is relishing the opportunity to make history.

City face Chelsea in this years two leg final, with the opening game being held at the new City Football Academy tonight.

It is the first time City have reached the final since they won the competition in 2008 against Chelsea, and Albinson, 18, is confident the team can replicate that success.

A potential bad omen for the Blues is they have never won the youth cup when the second leg has been played away from home. Both their previous victories, in 1986 and 2008, were confirmed on home soil.

The shot stopper from Sharples is in line to start between the sticks at the newly built 7000 capacity stadium, and he does not believe in any cup hoodoo.

"We can change history, it's in our hands. In fact it is better to be at home first so that we can take an advantage into the second leg.

"This will be the number one highlight of my career so far. It is the biggest title available to us at this level.

"The game will be a good test but we are confident"

"For under 18's to play at this venue is unbelievable." said Albinson.

Albinson has set himself a clear target for the fixture and hopes it will set a platform for the rest of the team to succeed.

"A clean sheet is my aim and the team can take it from there. Hopefully the boys can put four or five past them and give us a lead for the next game"

City have only conceded four goals so far in the competition and Albinson, who heralds Joe Hart as a role model, believes he has a similar style.

"I'm a traditional shot stopper. I like collecting crosses and I enjoy taking strikers on one on one."

The second leg of the FA Youth Cup will take place in a weeks time, Monday 27 April.
