ADAM Bogdan is on the verge of a move to Liverpool.

The Wanderers keeper played down reports of a move to Anfield whilst on international duty with Hungary this week but several sources have now confirmed he is in advanced talks with the Premier League giants over a free transfer.

That will come as a big blow for Neil Lennon, who saw extending the 27-year-old’s contract as an important step in rebuilding the club this summer.

It is expected Bogdan’s move will be announced next month but it appears the Hungarian will have to start as second choice behind Belgian Simon Mignolet.

Bogdan produced a star performance at Anfield in January’s 0-0 FA Cup draw and Brendan Rodgers has kept tabs on him ever since.

After Brad Jones left the club this summer, it left youngster Danny Ward as they only competition for Mignolet.

Bogdan’s exit would leave Mark Davies as the longest-serving player currently on the books at the Macron Stadium.
