STUART Hornby inspired Bradshaw to a comfortable home win against Kearsley to secure a top six finish.

The opener spearheaded a mean batting attack by hitting 17 boundaries as he scored 107.

Skipper Nick Lester added 25 and Gary Garner chipped in with 39 as the Rigby's outift posted 221-9. Saeed Anwar Jnr was the only notable bowler with figures of 4-91.

Kearsley's reply was lacklustre as professional Kamran Younis ran riot with a seven-wicket haul for 38 runs to dismiss the Springfield Road side for 89.

Only two players hit double figures – Chris Fenn (32) and Anwar Jnr (34).

Eagley ended their eight-game winless run with victory at home to Horwich.

However, they have Awais Zia to thank as he starred with both the bat and ball.

The professional first bowled a seven-wicket haul for 51 as the Ramsbottom Road side were seen off for 118 – Marcus Haydock (29) and Dave Hunt (32*) were the top scorers in the middle order.

Zia then turned his hand to the bat and struck a half-century as Eagley leapfrogged their opponents upon securing the five-wicket win inside 35 overs.

Johnathan Fowler and Ryan Ayres were on top form for Walkden as they recorded a routine win against Tonge.

The basement side struggled with the bat as no player hit double figures. Mansoor Ahmed top-scored with eight.

Fowler was taking wickets at will and posted a season-best score of 6-9 including four maidens and a hat-trick inside eight overs. Ayres also chipped in, bowling 3-27 as 10-man Tonge were bowled out for 36.

Thomas Gaskill (15) and Taylor Hayes (13) struck three fours apiece as Walkden cruised to victory with all wickets still intact.
