LITTLE Hulton extended their unbeaten run to five games with an away win at Darcy Lever, writes Mikael McKenzie.

Nekoli Parris led the way with the bat for the visitors scoring 79 before Brian Kelly added 31 to extend the score to 197-8. Nick Fawcett (4-44) and Alex Lee (3-63) did the most damage with the ball.

Shaun Brooks scored 36 in reply but Hugh Husbands (3-19) and Neil Jarvis (2-32) had them bowled out for 132.

Also in the bottom section, Daisy Hill continued their recent impressive form to record a third consecutive win away to Standish.

Steve Hodgkinson bowled 5-36 and Abid Younas took 3-23 as the hosts were dismissed for 78.

And the reply was seen off with only three wickets lost – Mike Chilton top-scored with 40.

Westleigh breezed past Golborne to record their second win in their last three games.

Opener Andy Lloyd scored 38 before Toby Leeds added 24. Paul Keenan and Robert Entwistle hit 35 and 42 respectively while Nick Sykes finished on 31 not out as the Pingot side posted 235 all out.

Johann Brohier was the only bowler of note with figures of 3-62.

Golborne failed to launch any sort of reply and were bowled out for 90. The damage was inflicted by the impressive bowling of Jonathan Entwistle (4-18) and Sean Makinson (3-20).

Walshaw continued their slide down the table with a six-wicket defeat at home to Astley and Tyldesley.

Gavin Nicholl knocked 24 for Walshaw as they were bowled out for 104 by the bowling attack of Jordan O’Malley and Nathan Johnston who took three wickets apiece.

The Gin Pit side replied through skipper Jimmy Cutt who scored 43 not out as his side cruised to victory with the loss of only four wickets.
