NEIL Lennon has finally stamped out rumours linking Wanderers with a return for former skipper Kevin Nolan.

Although the Whites boss has weighed up a move for the 33-year-old free agent following his move from West Ham, he admits the club would struggle to match the midfielder’s financial demands.

Asked in a BBC Radio Manchester fans’ phone-in whether he would offer the midfielder a deal at the Macron Stadium, Lennon answered: “Probably not, although I’ve admired him for a long, long time,” he said. “It’s down to finances more than anything else.”

Cardiff City are the latest club linked with Nolan’s services.
