ASPIRING goalkeepers are being invited to a specialised training camp run by former Wanderers coach Fred Barber.
Top talent from around the North West aged eight to 18 can enrol for the session, which will be held from 9.30am to 4pm at Westhoughton Leisure Centre on Wednesday, August 30.
Ex-Wanderers keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen is due to make a special appearance alongside Barber’s team of coaches including Jonathan Barber (ex-Hartlepool United), Dave Richards and Ben Garratt (Crewe) and Will Jaaskelainen (ex-Bolton).
Barber’s Elite Goalkeeping Academy has helped launch the careers of a number of keepers down the years, including Adam Bogdan, Tomasz Kuszczak, Ali Al-Habsi, Riece Charles-Cook and Raphael Spiegel.
