KEARSLEY are Bolton Under-13s Indoor Competition champions after beating Horwich in the final on Sunday.
The game saw the two teams with 100-per-cent winning records in the previous three weeks of the tournament go head-to-head.
Horwich scored a competitive total of 248-6 but it proved within Kearsley's reach as they totalled 253-1.
The final marked the end of the four-week u13s tournament which followed competitions for both the u9s and u11s.
In Sunday's other matches, Eagley (270-0) beat Blackrod (240-3), Roe Green (276-2) beat Bradshaw (233-6) and Egerton (271-0) beat Heaton (247-5).
All the matches over the 12 weeks were held at Smithills Sports Centre, organised by the Bolton Cricket Development Group, sponsored by the University of Bolton and officiated by Bolton Cricket League umpires.
The Bolton Cricket Development Group Indoor Tournament has been in existence for several years but was previously only played at u11s.
Organisers extended it this year by adding u9s and u13s events, while the university sponsored it for the first time.
