WANDERERS will kick off the Championship season against Darren Moore’s West Brom at the Hawthorns on August 4.

Bolton have not faced the Baggies since 2012 and will be their first opponents since the Midlanders dropped out of the Premier League.

Wanderers’ first home game will be against Bristol City on August 11.

The festive fixtures see Phil Parkinson’s side host Rotherham United on Boxing Day and Stoke City on December 29. They then travel to Hull City on New Year’s Day.

Wanderers face six Lancashire derbies this season – the first of which will be at Preston North End’s Deepdale on September 1. The return game will be on February 9.

Blackburn Rovers visit the Macron on October 6 following their promotion from League One. Wanderers will head to Ewood Park on April 22.

December 1 sees Wigan Athletic come to Bolton, with the return game at the DW Stadium on March 16.

The season will conclude with an away game at Nottingham Forest.
