WANDERERS are considering a loan move for Leicester City full-back Callum Elder.
The 23-year-old Australian full-back spent last season at Wigan Athletic and has already played in the Championship for both Brentford and Barnsley.
Elder played 33 times for Wigan last season as they clinched promotion back to the Championship but has yet to make a first team appearance for the Premier League Foxes.
Antonee Robinson had been strongly tipped to join Wanderers from Everton this summer but ended up being loaned out to Wigan after the interjection of ex-Blues boss Joe Royle, who is working on behalf of the new owners at the DW Stadium.
Phil Parkinson refused to name names in his press conference yesterday but admits he is looking at options to add competition to his squad.
"We've got a couple in mind," he told The Bolton News. "We have got Marc Wilson, who has played left-back in his career as well as Andy Taylor, so we're not absolutely desperate. But we do need another player who can cover that position for us.
"It's one area we'll have addressed soon."
