Daisy Hill will be looking to keep their playing season going for another few days at least when they host Walshaw Sports in the quarter-finals of the Bolton Hospital Cup tomorrow (2pm).

With the league season over, success in the Hospital Cup would be a positive end to the overall campaign, and Daisy boss Lee Hill says the squad are in no mood for the season to end just yet.

“There’s a big incentive for us to win on Saturday, as the Hospital Cup is a competition we’ve enjoyed playing in over the years, and we have a chance to progress to a semi-final,” said Hill.

“We’ve trained this week, although it’s been more case of keeping things ticking over, as a few of the lads are carrying knocks, and we are at the end of what has been a long season.

“The lads are keen to progress in the competition, and they were all disappointed with our performance in our last game against Garswood United (in the Atherton Charity Cup).

“That will hopefully be motivation for them to bounce back on Saturday.”
