Kevin Davies is believed to be in the England long squad of 34 players for England's European Championships qualifying game against Montenegro at Wembley next Tuesday.
He joins Gary Cahill in the long squad which coach Fabio Capello will whittle down this evening to the squad which will be on duty against Montenegro.
