Nice bit of Turkey. Jared Borgetti was the hero of Instanbul
CHRISTMAS is a time for Turkey - much like it was for Wanderers back in October 2005 when their first European campaign saw them travel to Istanbul to play Besiktas.
It was the first away game in a tricky UEFA Cup group for Sam Allardyce’s men but they earned a creditable 1-1 draw on the banks of the Bosphorus thanks to Jared Borgetti’s goal.
