LANCASHIRE have launched a new logo for their women's cricket team.

Nicknamed Thunder, they will have a logo which is designed to give the effect of a clap of thunder.

It has the main colours associated with the Emirates Old Trafford club.

Bobby Cross, general manager of Lancashire Thunder, said: "The Thunder logo is intended to fit within the portfolio of brands that exist at Emirates Old Trafford given the importance that is being placed on the development of the women and girls game in the region.

"The logo was designed to represent the explosion of Thunder and we are sure that the way in which the team plays cricket this summer will be equally vibrant and exciting and will attract a new audience to watch the game."
