BOLTON cricket paid tribute to its stars of the season at its 87th annual presentation ceremony on Friday.

Winning teams and individuals collected their prizes in front of 170 guests at Leigh Miners Welfare Club.

League chairman John Hutchinson and life president Frank Hinks spoke of the successes of the season and the league's plans for the future.

The audience was entertained by former Houghton Weaver and comedian Norman Prince and prizes were presented by Bolton League legend Mike Bennison.
