RADCLIFFE Borough failed to take their chances in front of goal as they went down 1-0 to Spennymoor.
The travelling Borough supporters were left wondering when the teams first goal is ever going to be scored, in what was a frustrating afternoon of football for the team.
Having tested the Spennymoor keeper in the early in the game, Boro were forced to make a change after five minutes with Jamie Forbes (injury) being replaced by Carl Tinker.
Boro keeper Chris Cheetham was called upon to make some fine saves from the counter-attacking Spennymoor.
The visitors continued to press forward with Matt Davies making excellent contributions from midfield.
On the half-hour mark Spennymoor Town manager Jason Ainsley was sent to the stands for an incident with Boro's Josh Bardsley near to the dugouts.
The hosts took the lead just before the break when Glen Taylor beat Cheetham from close-range.
In the second half, Richard Smith's cross could not be turned in by Matt Davies to equalise.
Boro were dominating play with many clear-cut chances but failed to find the back of the net.
Chris Cheetham having an excellent game in the Borough goal once again kept Spennymoor from going further ahead with a point-blank save.
Boro's next game is at home to Northwich Victoria on tomorrow night at 7.45pm at the Belvoir Stadium.
