WANDERERS made sure Sam Allardyce felt right at home on his return as Crystal Palace manager on Saturday by leaving him a tasty treat in the dressing room.
The former Bolton boss, back in town with his new club for an FA Cup third-round game, was handed a bag full of pasties from local bakers Carrs before kick-off.
Allardyce happily finished off his favourite savoury delicacy – and a big pot of tea to wash them down – telling The Bolton News after the final whistle: “They’re the best in the world!”
The game finished all square as Wanderers fought bravely to secure a replay at Selhurst Park.
The draw for the fourth round will be made on BBC Two tonight at 7pm.
